Welcome to UNM. If this is your second year, Welcome Back! I want to make sure you are familiar with Recreational Services and Johnson Center. Johnson Center is the place to be and be seen on campus, serving over 2 million individuals each semester. With a variety of health and fitness classes, intramural sports, sport clubs, Getaway Adventures, Outdoor and Bicycle Shops, pools, gyms and racquetball courts, and a large weight room and work out facility, we have what it takes to help you keep your mind fresh and body fit. We look forward to seeing you in Johnson Center. If you have any questions about our programs or services, please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff. And don't forget your Lobo Card, you'll need it to get it in.

Welcome to the University of New Mexico, from all of us at CAPS!
CAPS is the University of New Mexico’s premier learning center, here to meet all of your academic needs by offering assistance in a variety of formats and locations to accommodate different learning styles, communication styles, and studying preferences. What does that mean for you? CAPS strives to offer whatever help you need with your academic life, wherever and whenever you need it. In workshops and tutoring sessions, our tutors and SI leaders can help with:
∙Writing for your courses
∙Applications for jobs and schools
∙Homework for your Math and Science courses
∙Reviewing for exams
∙Practicing and studying a second language, such as Spanish or Navajo
∙Working on your time management, note-taking, or study skills
Our main location is on the third floor of Zimmerman Library, but you can find us all over campus: South Campus, the SUB, Engineering Student Services, and many other locations. You’ll find our tutors right in American Indian Student Services at set times throughout the week. Check out our online programs as well; many CAPS services can be accessed from home on the web.
