2019 American Indian Student Service Awards

American Indian Student Services is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding American Indian Student Service Emerging Lobo Award and the Outstanding American Indian Student Service Award. Each award commends Native students at UNM-Main Campus committed to serving the community at large. Recognition is based on applicant accomplishment and achievement in the areas of leadership, participation in campus activities and organizations, academics, and service to Native organizations and tribal communities. Award recipients will be honored at the University of New Mexico's Annual Recognition Reception on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Outstanding American Indian Student Service Award Eligibility Criteria

  • Full-time enrollment (12 hours undergraduate/9 hours graduate) at the University of New Mexico-Main Campus
  • Enrolled member of a federally or state recognized tribe(s)

Outstanding Emerging Lobo Award Eligibility Criteria - Freshmen Only

  • Freshman status: must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours or maximum of 26 hours to date at the University of New Mexico-Main Campus
  • Current full-time enrollment (minimum 12 hours) at UNM-Main Campus
  • Enrolled member of a federally or state recognized tribe(s)
