Institutional Scholarship

November 15, 2018 - James H. Gibson Scholarship for Navajo Students - UG

NOTE: Scholarship is open to all full-time Navajo undergraduate students with preference given to White Rock and Mexican Water Chapter members. Must include verification of Navajo Chapter membership.

A complete Scholarship Application must include the following::

  • Full-time Undergraduate student.
  • Attending UNM Main-Campus.
  • A comprehensive statement expressing your educational goals, personal philosophy and motivation for applying for a scholarship.
  • A complete list/directory of student organization(s), extracurricular activities, volunteer and community service experiences.
  • Unofficial UNM Transcript (Applicants must have attended UNM for a minimum of 1 semester to be eligible for consideration.)
  • Certificate of Navajo Indian Blood.
  • Documentation verifying Navajo Chapter Membership.
  • Any additional documentation you feel pertinent to your application.
  • Application Form

November 15, 2018 - Janice & Robert Daigh Scholarship for Taos & Picuris Pueblo Students - UG

NOTE: Scholarship is open to all full-time Taos & Picuris Pueblo undergraduate students.

A complete Scholarship Application must include the following::

  • Full-time Undergraduate student.
  • Attending UNM Main-Campus.
  • A comprehensive statement expressing your educational goals, personal philosophy and motivation for applying for a scholarship.
  • A complete list/directory of student organization(s), extracurricular activities, volunteer and community service experiences.
  • Unofficial UNM Transcript (Applicants must have attended UNM for a minimum of 1 semester to be eligible for consideration.)
  • Certificate of Indian Blood and Proof of Tribal Enrollment from Taos and/or Picuris Pueblo.

November 15, 2018 - Lakota-Sioux UNM Scholarship - UG

NOTE: Preference given to Lower Brute Sioux tribal members. Additionally West River South Dakota tribes - Rosebud Sioux, Oglala Sioux, Cheyenne River, Standing Rock - will also be considered.

A complete Scholarship Application must include the following::

  • Full-time Undergraduate student.
  • Attending UNM Main-Campus.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • A comprehensive statement expressing your educational goals, personal philosophy and motivation for applying for a scholarship.
  • A complete list/directory of student organization(s), extracurricular activities, volunteer and community service experiences.
  • Unofficial UNM Transcript.
  • Certificate of Indian Blood and Proof of Tribal Enrollment.
