American Indian Senior Day Parking & Directions
Due to the on-going construction project and high traffic congestions, school buses are no longer allowed to stage along Johnson Field.
Drop Off: Please plan for an immediate drop off on the east side of Johnson Field
- AISS Staff & Volunteers will be there between 8:45am to 9:30am to greet your group & bring you to the UNM SUB Ballroom
- DO NOT drop students off at any other location

Directions to UNM-Central Campus
- From the I-40, I-25 Interchange, head south on I-25.
- Take exit 225 to Lomas Boulevard.
- Turn east (left) onto Lomas Blvd.
- Turn right onto Stanford Dr. Directly across from the UNM Hospital.
- Take the 1st left onto Campus Blvd (heading east).
- Take a right onto Redondo Dr (heading south) at the first 3-way stop.
- Continue along Redondo Dr through the roundabout.
- Pass the 3-way intersection; to your right is Johnson Field.

Located on Avenida Cesar Chavez & Buena Vista Drive – near University Stadium (see Fig. 2 above)
Directions to UNM South Lot
- Turn right (west) onto Central Ave
- Turn left (south) onto Yale Blvd
- Turn right (west) onto Avenida Cesar Chavez
- Take the left after Buena Vista Dr to access UNM South Lot
Buses are asked to park in the southeast end of South Lot from 8:45am to 2:00pm

Schools are responsible to communicate with their bus drivers to ensure an immediate pick up after the program.
Directions back to UNM-Central Campus
- From South Lot, turn left on Avenida Cesar Chavez
- Turn right (heading north) onto University BLVD
- Turn right (east) onto Lomas Blvd.
- Turn right onto Stanford Dr. directly across from the UNM Hospital.
- Take the 1st left onto Campus Blvd (heading east).
- Take a right onto Redondo Dr (heading south) at the first 3-way stop.
- Continue along Redondo Dr through the roundabout.
- Pass the 3-way intersection; to your right is Johnson Field.
- Please plan for an immediate pick up at the east side of Johnson Field.
Personal Parking
- All vehicles that are not school buses will need to park in Paid Parking Structures
- It’s highly recommended to park in Cornell Parking Structure which can be accessed when coming into campus via Central AVE & Stanford DR
- Parking costs $1.75 per half-hour – you are responsible for all costs associated with parking
