Outstanding American Indian Student Service Awards

American Indian Student Services is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding American Indian Student Service Emerging Lobo Award and the Outstanding American Indian Student Service Award. Each award commends Native students at UNM-Main Campus committed to serving the community at large. Recognition is based on applicant accomplishment and achievement in the areas of leadership, participation in campus activities and organizations, academics, and service to Native organizations and tribal communities. Award recipients will be recognized during The University of New Mexico's Annual Recognition event on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Outstanding American Indian Student Service Award Eligibility Criteria
  • Current full-time enrollment (12 credit hours undergraduate / 9 credit hours graduate) at The University of New Mexico-Main Campus
  • Enrolled member of a federally or state recognized tribe(s)

Outstanding Emerging Lobo Award Eligibility Criteria - First-Year Students Only
  • First-Year status: must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours or maximum of 26 credit hours to date at The University of New Mexico-Main Campus
  • Current full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credit hours) at UNM-Main Campus
  • Enrolled member of a federally or state recognized tribe(s)
