Enrolled as a matriculated student in a university, college, junior college or technical school. One-Quarter (1/4) enrolled member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe. Undergraduate student with no more than 150 semester credits or 210 quarter credits. Full-time or part-time status – excluding non-credit courses (minimum of 6 credits). This program encourages promising young women who pursue geoscience careers through attendance at field camp. Two $750 scholarships are awarded annually through a competitive process. The applicant must be a full-time student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences (geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, meteorology, physical oceanography, planetary geology, or earth science education) at an accredited college or university AND must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The IHS Scholarship Program provides qualified American Indian and Alaska Native health professions students an opportunity to establish an educational foundation for each stage of your pre-professional careers.
