The Andrew Piech Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 by Paula and Gerald Piech to memorialize their son, Andrew. After graduating from Eldorado High School in 2004, Andrew enrolled in the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) of Phoenix and graduated in 2005. Andrew enjoyed working on cars and UTI allowed him to pursue his passion in the automotive field. One or more scholarships are awarded each year to New Mexico graduating high school seniors and/or continuing college students. Students must pursue a degree or certificate from a nonprofit or public school or an automotive or technical vocational institution, including community colleges. The Rae Lee Siporin Scholarship for Women will make awards to those women who are continuing or returning to college/university for their first undergraduate degree and need financial assistance for their senior year of school. The Friends of Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, Inc. announce that applications are being accepted for the 2022 annual scholarship for Native American students in the four corners area. The funds for our scholarships are raised through memberships, activities at Hubbell TPNHS including the Auctions, and other off-site events. The scholarships are established in honor of three weavers (Evelyn Curley, Mary Lee Begay, and Helen Kirk) who spent many years demonstrating their art to people in the Visitor Center. Souder Miller & Associates (SMA) offers a $1,500 per academic year scholarship opportunity to Native American students pursuing a four-year degree in in STEM--Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics..The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books or on-campus housing/meals. The Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship & Financial Assistance (ONNSFA), provides enrolled members of the Navajo Nation an opportunity to achieve their educational goals. Formerly known as the Navajo Higher Education Office, the ONNSFA was established in 1972 when the Navajo Nation entered into a P.L. 93-638 contract with the Bureau of Indian Affairs to administer the HIgher Education Grant. Established in 2018 through the Albuquerque Community Foundation in partnership with Central New Mexico Community College, the Nina J. Wing Scholarship program supports students previously in foster care who are currently attending or will be attending Central New Mexico Community College.Nina was born on August 12, 1921 in Beaumont, Texas. She was valedictorian of her high school graduation class, received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas and then earned a degree in education and a Master’s degree in Counseling.
